“Yesterday, Pokémon writer Takeshi Shudo was rushed to the hospital after suffering a hemorrhage and collapsing at Nara Station. He has since passed away. Shudo was 61 years-old.
Shudo created TV anime Fairy Princess Minky Momo and worked on various anime through the 80s and 90s. He became the chief writer for the original Pokémon television series and went on to write the first three Pocket Monsters feature films.”

back in 1997, a kooky lady by the name of Joanne Rowling published a wee children’s book called Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone [Philosopher’s Stone for the English folks reading this].
and it goes a little something like this: a young boy is raised, quite poorly, by his Aunt and Uncle and on his 13th birthday, finds a half-giant delivering him a letter, inviting him to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Rumors of the PSP2 are now preliminary details of this long-coveted portable device. Development of the new PSP2 promises a huge upgrade, including the potential inclusion of a touch panel and a HD screen. However, some quirks still need to be worked on to maintain stability in all of its high standard glory. Sony has yet to go public with this as they have not finalized its inner and outer designs. But it is slated for Fall of 2011 if things go well.

…or should i say ‘finests’? it’s great to jump into a comic and just enjoy the characters living in the moment. that’s usually what make a great single issue book.
this week’s DC Comics was pretty rad. While Legion of Super-Heroes #6, Green Lantern Corps. #53 and Untold Tales of Blackest Night #1 were great, they’re very much involved, so it’s hard for new fans to jump in. ergo, i turn your attention to the two comics who’s covers i’ve shown above…
with Legion of Super-Heroes #6, we find out that Cosmic Boy is tired of the stresses being team leader and Matter-Eater Lad invites you, the fans to pick who’s up next!

i’ve only been reading american comics for about 5 years so this is my first ever fan participation event! i’m really excited! [note the frequency of exclamation points] since i’m a big Legion fan, i have the best interest of the team/book to look out for, so it’ll take me a little while to weigh my options. i’ll probably make a decision by the weekend. if you’re planning to vote as well, you have until November 10th. you guys know that word, right? sure you do. it’s the first word that comes to mind when signing a yearbook, graduation card or something similar. it’s made to be this brilliant umbrella word that covers everything under the sun pertaining to a person’s Dreams, Goals, Aspirations..what-have-you. “Good luck on your future endeavors!” yeah. i’m pretty sure i hate that word.
if i haven’t been talking everyone’s ears off about this yet, this past weekend was the long awaited New York Comic Convention 2010 and running along side it was New York Anime Festival 2010. it took me a while to get here, but i’d say that this year’s comic con was a 7 out of 10.
