trying to get back into the swing of things now that November is over. (to the few people that were missing me, i spent last month working, gaming and writing ^-^.) i’ll be done polishing up my short story quite soon and who knows, i might post a little bit of it here. :D
anyway! it goes without saying that i’m reading all the time and i actually finished collecting the RuroKen VizBig Volumes and it was quite epic! it only made sense to me to continue my ongoing “ty nobuhiro watsuki” posts. if at all possible, i’m going to try and squeeze the rest of the series into five parts in total, so at least two more parts…but read that title again because it’s time for part 3 + the conclusion of the Kyoto Arc!!

PSSSSTT~ [Usui greets Misao]

Shishio sees: a Hitokiri, a Wolf of Mibu, aaaanddd……no idea?

call the homies, we’re throwin’ down tonight! [the Juppongatana]

POKE! [Fight #1: Sanosuke vs Anji]

RAGE! [Fight #2: Saito vs Usui]

sarcasm + orgasm = sargasm. [Yumi Komagata]

look at all these books in our way. [Fight #3: Aoshi vs Kenshin, Part 2]

it’s on.* [Fight #4: Soujiro vs Kenshin, Part 2]

who will the new era choose as it’s successor? [Fight #5: Shishio vs Kenshin]

Shishio: BLOCKED. [Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu, Ogi, Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki]

Shishio: GOT ‘EM! Counter attack time ^.^v

Kenshin: Sup son? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it’s on.*: the fight between Kenshin x Soujiro the Tenken is one of my favorites of the entire series, second only to the Kenshin x Saito fight (see vol.07). Seta Soujiro had such a tragic story and one that i hold highly from a storyteller’s perspective—his relationship with Shishio, the ruthless Darwinian Philosophy ingrained in him and his underlying wish to feel love and acceptance was really touching—if it weren’t for Kenshin being the main character and all, i think Soujiro could’ve decimated anyone in a straight up fight.

with that, the gauntlet known as the Kyoto Arc is finished. and while i skipped over the whole deal with the Aoiya, i actually DID enjoy that part very much. Yahiko’s fight against Henya was quite good, despite how brief it was..it was still his second time risking his life and i liked how he can emulate Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu just by watching Kenshin. silly question: did Yahiko have Sharingan?? Hmm…OH and Hiko’s a boss. but everyone knows that… -J.A
p.s. someone yell at me if i don’t update soon about Symphony. it’s entirely possible that i fall into an editing hole, skipping the sharing + feedback from my peers part of the writing process. that’d be bad, eh?
